CREATING CHARACTERS is a Life Skill Development Program , from the house of  OJAS EDULAND which helps the children to excel in their academic and personal life INTEGRALLY.

This program will help the child to grow with NOBLE CHARACTER integrated with best ETIQUETTE.

Noble Character: – A character having fine personal qualities that people admire.

Etiquette:- Good behaviors and manners.

Schedule:-

  • For 12 months.
  • Weekly once ( 1.30 hr) or 15 days once ( 3 hr )

How the program works:   

In every class, Children are given ACTIVITIES to see how their:

  • Body
  • Mind
  • Feelings
  • Actions and
  • Communication

works, reflects and also affect others. We teach kids to think about the ways to face challenges and solve the problems in life.

Our Syllabus   

  • TAILOR MADE: Changes with individual need & level of development of each child.
  • Offers appropriate age related activities that encourage Team-building & Sharing .
  • We give emphasis on Good Habits & Manners like Social skills, Dining Etiquette, Mobile phone manners, Cleanliness & Hygiene, etc.,

    We teach kids through:   

  • Art & Craft activities:  which teaches values when making decisions.
  • Storytelling: are used to analyse the behaviour of the characters and help the child to make “CHOICES” & “DECISIONS”.
  • Nature & Environmental Study:  Connecting Children with Nature & environment , Supports multiple development domains. Nature is important to children’s development in every major way — intellectually, emotionally, socially, spiritually & physically
  • Music & Meditation     and much more.

We engage parents in the process since they are the first role model for each child.

Participants have to demonstrate any easy science experiment of their own choice.

2. Clay Modelling or Sand Art

  • Time : 1.00 – 1.20 pm (20 min)
  • Topic : Any 3 flowers
  • Participants have to bring the clay.
  • A paper plate will be provided to the participants for display.
  1. Sand Art
  • Time : 1.20 – 1.40 pm (20 min)
  • Topic : Any 3 flowers
  • Participants have to bring sand. (Original sand or china sand )
  • A paper plate will be provided to the participants for display.
  1. String a flower Garland ( Poo Kattudhal)
  • Time: 1.20 – 1.40 pm ( 20 min)
  • Participants have to bring flowers and make a garland. (1 feet length)
  1. Book Binding
  • Time: 1.40 – 2.00 pm ( 20 min)
  • Participants have to bind 2 notebooks using reusable materials like:

  1. Traditional Games

Participants have to explain or demonstrate a traditional Tamil game like

Pambaram,

Aadu-Puli Aatam,

Pallanguzhi,

Nungu Vandi,

Kallangal (5 stones),

Dhayam or any other traditional Village games.

Participants have to bring a play toy or Printed chart of the game (Quarter size chart). It can be a cut paste picture from any magazine.

(Time : not to exceed 2.5 minutes).

  1. Traditional Food

Participants have to bring any one traditional Tamil food like

Kambu koolu,

Kelvaragu Adai,

Konadakadalai sundal,

Parupu Adai or

any other traditional Tamil food made from home and they have to explain about the ingredients and benefits of the food.

  1. Bharathiyar Kavithaikal ( Time : not to exceed 2.5 minutes )

Participants have to recite any Bharathiyar Songs. They have to submit the same in an A4 size paper.

If needed, they can refer the lyrics and recite. 

  1. Tamil Songs ( Time : not to exceed 2.5 minutes )

Topic : Kavignar pattukottai kalyanasundaram songs

Participants have to sing any one of Kavignar pattukottai kalyanasundaram songs.

They have to submit the same in an A4 size paper

If needed, they can refer the lyrics and sing. 

  1. Tamil Calendar

Participants have to bring a Tamil calendar (which can be hand written or printed) and explain any one of the following topics:

Topic name:

  • Names of the Weeks & Months or
  • Names of the Tamil years (60 years) or
  • Names of the seasons along with the month in which that season is coming.

If needed, they can refer the text and say. 

  1. Pon-mozhigal – Explain it with meaning

Participants have to explain and submit Tamil Ponmozhi (wise-words or proverbs) in an A4 size paper. If needed, they can see the lyrics and sing.

  • Playschool – UKG : Say any 1 pon-mozhi and explain the meaning of it.
  • 1st– 3rd  std : Say any 3 pon-mozhi. Out of which 1 should be explained.
  • 4th– 6th  std : Say any 4 pon-mozhi. Out of which 2 should be explained.
  • 7th– 9th  std: Say any 5 pon-mozhi. Out of which 3 should be explained.
  • 10th– 12th  std: Say any 7 pon-mozhi. Out of which 4 should be explained.
  1. Information about Tamil Culture

Participants have to bring an A4 size paper or printed poster with the information about any specific Tamil Culture.

They have to explain and submit the information (Topic :  Tamil language, history, people, art, epics , or even about any characters from historic Tamil novels like “Ponniyin Selvan” or “Kadal Pura”,  etc can be selected.)

  1. Naalayira Divya Pribandam. ( Time : not to exceed 2.5 minutes )

Participants have to recite Naalayira Divya Pribandam. ( Minimum 1 pasuram )

  1. Review a Tamil Book ( Time : not to exceed 2.5 minutes )

Participants have to bring a Tamil book and have to talk about the book in short. 

  1. Tamil Handwriting contest

Paper & Text for writing will be provided. Participants have to bring writing pad & Pen / Pencil.

  1. Write a Poem (Kavidhai)

A topic will be given on the spot. Participants have to write a short poem (Kavidhai) in Tamil about the given topic. (Minimum 4 lines to maximum 12 lines)

A paper for writing will be provided. Participants have to bring the writing pad & Pen / Pencil. 

  1. Tamil Speech Contest

Topic: Kavignar Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram. Participants have to speak about Kavignar Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram.

(Time : not to exceed 2.5 minutes).

  • Participants have to bring the soap and other materials for carving. They can use any household things such as forks, spoons, toothpicks etc to make any design in the soap.

  • Time : 2.00 – 2.20 pm (20 min)
  • Paper & Text for writing will be provided
  • Participants have to bring writing pad & Pen / Pencil.
  1. Coconut shell decoration competition
  • Time : 2.00 – 2.20 pm (20 min)
  • Participants have to bring coconut shell and may decorate it using paints, stickers, beads, etc.

  • Participants have to bring stones for painting

At Ojas Eduland we are conducting half-day day workshop for school students.

    •  LKG  to 6th std : 10 am – 1 pm
    • 7th  to 12th std : 2.30 pm – 5.30 pm 

This is a half day workshop for school students that will help them to understand the need of Good Manners & Appropriate behaviours.

  • Self-discipline
  • Mobile Phone Etiquette
  • Dining Etiquette
  • Body Language
  • Good Touch Vs Bad touch
